Gear Review: 26QT EUHOMY Plug-In Fridge
Simple. Rugged. Exactly what a solo overlander needs.
First Impressions

I’ll be honest—this one surprised me.
The 26QT plug-in fridge from EUHOMY isn’t trying to be flashy. It’s not built to impress your buddies at camp with touchscreen panels and app integrations. It’s built to do one job:
Keep your food and drinks cold—reliably, efficiently, with ease.
And after running it on a few trips powered by my EcoFlow setup, I can say—it absolutely delivers.
Real-World Use Case (This Is Where It Shines)
This is a solo weekend warrior fridge.
If you’re:
- Running 1–2 people
- Doing 1–3 night trips
- Packing some steaks, sandwich meat, drinks
…this size is about perfect.
It tucks easily behind a seat and lives cleanly in your gear stack without becoming another thing you have to manage.
No ice. No soggy food. No digging through a cooler like you’re mining for gold.
Key Specs & Performance
Here’s what matters—not the marketing fluff:
- Capacity: 26QT (fits ~30 cans or a smart mix of food + drinks)
- Power: 12V DC / 110V AC compatible
- Cooling Range: Down to ~-4°F (freezer capable, though I run it as a fridge)
- Compressor-based: Not thermoelectric → actually gets cold
- Low Power Draw: Ideal for power stations like EcoFlow
- Noise Level: Quiet enough to sleep near (45-60 db)
- Build: Hard plastic shell, solid lid seal, simple latch
On my setup, paired with a mid-size power station, it held temp consistently with minimal draw. That’s the magic combo for overlanding.
Power & Efficiency (Big Win Here)
This is where this EUHOMY 26QT really shines.
Running it off an EcoFlow Delta 3 1500, I was able to:
- Maintain fridge temps all day (and night)
- Run overnight without stress
- Supplement with 100W solar during the day
For your use case (fridge + CPAP), this is a very realistic load—and this fridge doesn’t spike power draw like some of the bigger units.
Translation:
You’re not babysitting your battery. You’re enjoying your trip.
What I Like (A Lot)
1. Simplicity
No app. No nonsense. Set the temp and go.
2. Size Sweet Spot
Bigger than a lunchbox, smaller than a commitment.
3. True Cooling Performance
This isn’t a glorified cooler—it’s a legit compressor fridge.
4. Power Friendly
Plays very nicely with portable power setups.
5. Price-to-Performance
This is where it really shines. You’re getting 80–90% of the function of premium brands for a fraction of the cost.
What It’s Not
Let’s keep it honest.
- Not a premium overland brand like Dometic or ARB
- No dual-zone compartments
- No Bluetooth/app control
- Not something you’re building a full expedition kitchen around
But here’s the thing…
Most people don’t need all that.

Ideal Setup (How I’m Running It)
- Fridge: EUHOMY 26QT
- Power: EcoFlow Delta 3 1500
- Solar: 100W panel (supplemental)
- 40% reversible seat delete by Cargo Kits. (TN-based company)
- Use Case: Weekend trips, camp setups, light overland runs
This setup hits that perfect balance of:
Capability + simplicity + affordability
Final Verdict
This fridge earns its place in the rig.
If you’re building out a practical, no-BS overlanding setup, this is one of those pieces of gear that just works—and keeps working.
It’s not trying to be the hero of your setup.
It’s the quiet, reliable teammate.
And honestly, that’s exactly what you want out there.
Who Should Buy This?
- First-time overlanders
- Weekend campers
- Solo travelers
- Anyone tired of dealing with ice
Who Should Skip It?
- Full-time overlanders
- Large group setups
- Expedition-style builds needing dual-zone storage
Bottom Line
For solo runs and short trips, this little EUHOMY fridge hits a sweet spot that’s hard to beat.
Simple. Rugged. Reliable. Affordable.
That’s a win.
Tread lightly and Gladiator up! – Doug
UPDATE: This fridge is no longer available. According to EUHOMY support it’s not scheduled to return (discontinued). This is disappointing, as I hope it wasn’t a quality issue. Here a link to a very similar one and a bit larger.
