Announcing a New Book: The Overlander’s Wife – A Survival Guide

Overlanding tends to get told from one angle — the rig, the gear, the map, the miles. But behind nearly every overlander is someone at home who understands the pull of the road, even if they don’t always understand why.

That perspective is what inspired my new book*, The Overlander’s Wife – A Survival Guide

This isn’t a how-to guide or a gear manual. It’s a look at the other side of overlanding — the planning, the patience, the humor, and the quiet negotiations that happen long before a rig ever leaves the driveway. It’s written for spouses and partners, but it’s just as much a mirror for overlanders themselves.

Some chapters are funny. Some are honest. A few may hit closer to home than expected. At its core, the book is about balance — between adventure and responsibility, solitude and partnership, the need to wander and the need to come back.

The Kindle edition* is available now and can be found here:

The paperback edition will be available around December 26 on Amazon.com.

I’ll share more details — including excerpts and behind-the-scenes notes on how the book came together — here on GladiatorUp in the coming days. For now, I wanted to mark the moment among people who understand the lifestyle that inspired it.

Here’s to the road unpaved.
